Faux Stone TV Wall Panels

Faux stone TV wall in white stacked stone with a wall-mounted TV and a linear electric fireplace below it
Customer project: Canyon’s Edge in Coconut White. See more in our project gallery.

A stone TV wall turns a flat wall into the focal point of the room. With real stone, it also means a mason, mortar and a floor that has to carry the weight. Tritan BP panels give you the same stacked-stone look in lightweight polyurethane. A panel weighs about 8 pounds, cuts with a standard saw, and goes up with construction adhesive and screws. There is no mortar and no mess.

Prefer a brick look? Our brick panels work for this project too.

Example project: A 5 ft × 8 ft feature wall is 40 sq ft. At about 7.3 sq ft per Lightning Ridge panel, that is about 6 panels before cuts. The calculator adds an allowance for cuts. Use the panel calculator →

The panels interlock, so the joints disappear and the wall reads as one piece of stone. Most feature walls go up in an afternoon, and you can plan the whole job from the measurements alone. Measure the wall, enter the width and height in our calculator, and it gives you a panel count that already allows for cuts.

Pick a collection with the depth you like. Lightning Ridge is deep stacked stone with large interlocking panels. Earth’s Valley is a rugged weathered ledge. If you want a cleaner, more modern backdrop, look at our concrete panels. Order a sample first and hold it next to your TV, your paint and your lighting. Stone reads differently in every room.

Tips before you start

Mount the TV the right way

You can hang a TV on the finished wall. Drill through the panel and put the anchor into the drywall or stud behind it. The wall behind the panel holds the weight, not the panel. Follow the mount maker’s instructions for anchors and weight limits.

Start with a flat, solid wall

Panels follow whatever is behind them. Make sure the wall is sound, clean and flat before you start.

Plan around outlets and switches

Matching single and double outlet covers are available, so the wall looks finished around power and cable boxes.

Finish the edges

Outside corners and ledge trim give the wall clean edges where it meets a corner or ends. Add matching caulking for the seams you cut.

Order everything at once

Pigments are applied by hand, so batches vary slightly. Order enough to finish the wall in one go rather than spreading orders over months.

Need a fire-rated panel?

Class A fire rated (ASTM E84) options are available on select products. Check the product page, or see what Class A means.
