Faux Stone Mobile Home Skirting Panels

Skirting is the first thing people see when they look at a mobile home, and a stone look changes the whole house. Real stone is far too heavy and too costly to use for skirting. Tritan BP panels are lightweight polyurethane, about 8 pounds a panel, and they cut with a standard saw. There is no mortar to mix and no footing to pour.
Prefer a brick look? Our brick panels work for this project too.

Mount the panels to a solid surface, such as plywood or another solid backing, and follow the same steps as any exterior wall. That means construction adhesive and screws over a clean, flat, sound backing. Our faux stone panels are rated for exterior use, and they will not absorb water, rot or warp.
Plan the job from your measurements. Walk the perimeter, measure the height and the total run, and enter them in the calculator. It gives you a panel count with an allowance for cuts. Order a sample first and set it against your siding and trim in daylight, because stone reads differently outdoors. Stick-A-Stone is interior only, so choose a stone, brick or concrete collection for skirting.
Tips before you start
Build a solid backing
The panels need a solid surface behind them, such as plywood. Skirting that flexes or moves will not give you a good result.
Follow the exterior wall steps
Use the same installation steps as any exterior wall. Our installation guide and siding guide cover them.
Check your local rules
Check your park, community and local requirements for skirting before you buy. We do not give advice on ventilation or access panels, so confirm those with your local authority.
Plan for fading over time
Sun fades everything outdoors. The pigments carry UV inhibitors, and a compatible UV-protective topcoat every three to five years keeps the color close to where it started.
Order it all at once
Pigments are applied by hand, so a later batch may not match the first. Order enough to finish the whole perimeter.
Finish the corners
Outside corners give clean edges at each turn. Matching caulking covers seams you cut.
Where to start
- Faux stone panels — exterior-rated stone collections.
- Faux brick panels — Aged Brick, British Brick and Cottage Lane.
- Concrete panels — exterior-rated concrete look.
- Corners, trim and caulking — everything to finish the edges.
Work out your wall and see the color first
Use the panel calculator → Enter your measurements and it tells you how many panels you need, with an allowance for cuts. You can also see the stone on a photo of your own wall.
